Pai Mu Tan
Fine Tea, White TeaWhite teas are among the most noble and mildest tea varieties in the world. To produce them only the youngest, unopened buds, still covered by a silvery down, are picked and briefly withered in natural daylight. Afterwards the buds are heated for a short time and then air-dried. This particular variety is one of the best known, most popular white teas and has a large, open leaf with a pleasant, mild character. -
White Monkey Pekoe
Fine Tea, White TeaWhite Monkey or Bai Mao Hou grows along the slopes of the Taimu mountains in the Fujian province of China. Made by harvesting exclusively by hand only the top two leaves of the plant, the young and unopened buds are carefully gathered and processed, resulting in a tea that appears intricately woven with large and beautiful white tips looking like white-haired monkey's paws, hence the name. The roughish, slightly downy leaf produces a light-green, smooth cup with a slight note of honey. A luxurious tea for the true connoisseur.
